Cleaning & Care

Caring for your Ambient Lounge bean bag furniture keeps it looking new and lasting longer.

Cleaning your Interior (Sofa Weave) Bean Bags:

General Maintenance
Lightly vacuum once or twice a week.
Use a lint roller to remove lint, fibres and hair as and when needed.
If desired, apply Febreze Fabric Refresher (available from supermarkets) to freshen up the fabric cover.

Minor Stains
Simply spot clean with a damp non-abrasive cloth.

Serious Stains
Cleaning your Interior Sofa Weave Bean Bags
First, unfill your bean bag using our patented Funnelweb™ system (see graphic above). With the safety locking zip (beneath your sofa), slide in the paper clip under the zip lock. Lift, and voila! You can now unzip with ease. Connect the white Funnelweb™ bag to your bean bag's internal gusset. Simply tip the bean bag to unfill the beans into the Funnelweb™ bag. Done in seconds and no more spilling the beans! Undo zips carefully and separate the cover from the bean-filled Funnelweb™. Zip up the bean-filled Funnelweb™ and set it aside.

At the bean bag cover, zip up the white internal gusset. (There might be some residual beans within, but this is fine as these beans will dry by themselves after washing). Gently tuck this closed gusset inside the bean bag cover. Now slide a paper clip under the outermost safety locking zip and close this zipper so your bean bag cover is now fully closed.

You can now clean your bean bag cover. For best results, dry clean / hand wash / cold gentle machine wash. (For cold gentle machine wash, to better care for your fabric, place the bean bag cover inside a laundry bag.) Line dry only. DO NOT tumble dry.

After cleaning, simply reverse the Funnelweb™ procedure to refill your bean bag... in seconds!

This worldwide patented Funnelweb™ cleaning system makes your life easy. You’ll thank us for that, we promise.

Cleaning & Caring for your Easy-Clean (Water-Resistant, Pet-Friendly, Indoor/Outdoor) Bean Bags:

Properly maintain your Ambient Lounge Easy-Clean bean bags to keep them looking good and to delay deep or vigorous cleanings. You can greatly prolong their lifespan with regular cleaning and light maintenance. Brush off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabrics. Wipe up spills as soon as they occur or spot clean soon after stains occur. The better you treat them, the longer they will last.

General Maintenance
Brush off any loose dirt. Wipe clean with a damp non-abrasive cloth. Wipe dry with a towel. Alternatively, you may use a "water vacuum cleaner" such as the IRIS Ohyama Rinser Cleaner RNS-300 to keep your furniture looking good (also suitable for fabric car seats and carpets). If desired, apply Febreze Fabric Refresher (available from supermarkets) to freshen up the fabric cover.

Minor Stains
Wipe clean with a non-abrasive cloth using warm water and mild detergent OR use a soft bristle toothbrush and warm water with mild detergent and brush with a circular motion. Wipe dry with a towel.

Stubborn Stains
You need:
- a specialty cleaner such as Scotchgard™ Fabric & Carpet Cleaner (available from supermarkets and DIY shops)
- a soft colourfast cleaning sponge such as Mr Clean Magic Eraser or equivalent (available from supermarkets and DAISO)
Follow the instructions on the fabric cleaner. After cleaning, allow your Easy-Clean bean bag to air dry.

Serious Stains / Mildew
Ambient Lounge Easy-Clean fabrics do not promote mildew growth. However, mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric.
You need:
- a specialty cleaner made for cleaning vehicle fabrics (cleaners for the soft tops of convertibles are available from automotive care stores)
Follow the instructions on the specialty cleaner. After cleaning, allow your Easy-Clean bean bag to air dry.

Note: You do not need to unfill your Easy-Clean bean bag. DO NOT dry clean, machine wash or immerse your Easy-Clean bean bag in water.
